Offensive Security’s Advanced Web Attacks and Exploitation (AWAE) course covers the skills required to conduct white box web app penetration tests, and prepares students for the exam to earn their Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE) certification. In this video, Fortego Developer Adnan Kahn discusses his experience with the course, including what pentester-types should know before starting and what they’ll get out of it. He also touches on his approach to the test-taking process for the OSWE (which he passed, fyi!).
Adnan also developed a written Q&A on the AWAE course and OSWE certification that includes additional info and links to good resources, plus an hourly account of how he managed his time during the OSWE exam. It’s available on Fortego U here.
